upload plugin crash

I'm currently evaluating the new upload plugin

and have some problems.
I can quick upload a single file, so the configuration is ok, I guess.
however, when I try to upload the project (not really, only mark as already 
uploaded), a dialog box 'calculating size' pops up, sits there for several 
minutes at 0%, then crashes kdevelop (4.3.1) completely.
anyone else has similar experience/remedy ?
