Thanks for the tip. More on that I found that "kateschemarc" was owned by root!
I don't know why.... color management (background, foreground, ...) is hadled by
that file. Now it is fine :)
So that was not a bug in neither kdevelop nor kate. Thanks for your help and
patience.
