Oh, well, you'd need to somehow translate from path on laptop to path on 
desktop and use

  ssh desktop "cd <project-path-on-desktop> && make"

as command. Sorry, but this will be some kind of trick in any case, as 
KDevelop does not have an easy-to-use GUI to configure such kind of usage.
