Links against dereferenced names

Hello.

I have some files in my project placed in the directory which is addressed by 
symbolic link name. But when the files from this directory are opened in, for 
example, editor, the caption of the window shows the "unlinked" name, I mean 
the name the link points to.

Is there any reason why links are dereferenced?
Because it almost caused me a serious trouble...:-( 
Only backup saved me...
