How can debug a ncurses program in kdevelop?

 Hi,
I'm writing a c++ program using ncuses 5.4. When I want to debug this
program the terminal is empty, that is to say, I can see anything in the
terminal.
I don't understand this situation, because the application can be executed
normally.

I have activate an external terminal for I/O to debug.

I use Kdevelop version 3.2.2 in Fedora Core 4

can anybody help me?
