Debugging application with plugins/parts

Hello,

I was wondering, if there is any way to force the project to look for ts 
libs and desktop files in the source or build directory as well, as 
opposite to only the $(kde_datadir)/app and 
$(datadir)/{services,servicetypes}.... It is really very tedious to su 
to root and copy manually the libs and metafiles to the corresponding 
folder every time the changed source is compiled anew :-(

I really hoep there is a solution for that! Anyone?
