Hi,

It should work, the steps are not identical, with QT you get a preconfigured 
alternative. You should chose the custom alternative if you want completion 
of some other external headers.
For STL I have an entry for the path (might be different on your 
system) /usr/include/c++/3.3.2.
It's not perfect but it works pretty good.
