It appears that the whole thing behaves a bit strange if when I wrap my widget 
in another class. I'm not sure why. Now I just included designer file .ui in 
the kpart library and changed the code accordingly. I threw out the wrapper 
class completely and it works.

If I find out something else I'll let you know.
