Well, I'm stuck :-(.
It works here, so there's probably something wrong
in your setup or there is a strange bug in kdevelop.
Maybe this is because of the changes in the backport (I have never
really worked with BSD). So you could try to build the "official"
version from the website. When you do this, you could install kdevelop
in some new sub-dir to make sure, that there is no mix of old and new
files. To do this, you have to install kdevelop into a different
prefix, add this prefix to the beginning of your KDEDIRS variable and
then execute kbuildsycoca.
