how to add translations

Hi,

I posted a similar question a few days ago, but I did not give an
answer, so I'm trying a more general question this time.

How do I add multi-language support using kdevelop3? As I said
earlier, using the menu-entry from the projects menu gives me an
empty .po file, which can't be right. 

Is there any howto on doing this, is nobody using kdevelop for this?
