kdevelop and QT

I have a redhat linux 9 system. I'm running kdevelop 3.0.2 with kde
3.1-10 and qt 3.1.1. QT is located at /usr/lib/qt-3.1. Yesterday I
upgraded QT to QT-3.3.1 and installed it at /usr/local/qt. I have
trouble using KDevelop today. I tried to do configure again from
kdevelop folder, the error message is "check for QT...configure: error:
QT <>= QT 3.0 library qt-mt not found. Please check your installation.
Make sure that you have compiled QT with thread support. Yesterday when
I install QT 3.3.1, first I edit the .bashrc file to export QTDIR to
/usr/local/qt, then from that location, I do ./configure, make, then
make install. Did I do anything wrong from QT, or I have to adjust some
settings in KDevelop?
