SDL template problem

I'm having a problem with the simple SDL program template in the CVS 
version of KDevelop. If I create a new SDL project and run automake and 
friends I get the following error:

configure.in:18: warning: AC_ARG_PROGRAM was called before 
AC_CANONICAL_TARGET

The configure script doesn't get created so I can't compile the program. 
Does anyone know how to fix this?

I am using Mandrake 9.1 with KDE 3.1.3, automake1.6-1.7.2-3mdk, 
autoconf-2.13-16mdk and autoconf2.5-2.57-3mdk.
