switch between pure Qt/KDE application.

Dear members: 
I have developed a Qt based application in Kdevelop 2.1. However, I trapped 
some calls to KDE libraries between #ifdef _USE_KDE_ #endif calls. 
How can I check at compile time if the KDE libraries are present on the system, 
and if not, build a pure Qt application. Is any macro like _USE_KDE_ defined 
by autoconf KDE macros?. How must I modify my configure.in file?
