Configure error

Hi all

I have just started to get this error when I am starting a new project thought
the Kdevelop project menu item, but I have not altered anything ( but I did
for some reason get a bad shutdown message when I had not shutdown
incorrectly a couple of days ago but have done some programming after that
thus I do not think this is the problem). This is the error from kdevelop
"
configure: error: installation or configuration problem: C compiler cannot
create executables.
"

Below is full list of the output from the top part of the message screen for
building the project.

I am using Mandrake 9.1 and Kdevelop 2.1.5

Thanks for any advice
Ian
