KDevelop 2.1.3

Hi,

I am new to Linux. I got 9 years in MS platforms.
I would like to dig into KDevelop based developments. I am using KDevelop
2.1.3 ( available with RH 8)

Can you help me out by giving good links for studying Kdevelop.
Any web content, Books are okay.

if that material gives comparison between VC++ 6 and KDevelop it will be
great.
I found some docs, but they are telling from the scratch.

NB:- will it be easy to get KDevelop latest version and is it worth?
