Making a new project in kdevelop

Hi:

I just installed the kdevelop-2.1.4-1.i386.rpm on redhat 8.0, and all
the required softwares as well. I started the kdevelop and tries to
create a new project, and get the following error:

configure.in:76: error: m4_popdef: undefined macro: AC_Dest
autoconf/status.m4:844: AC_CONFIG_FILES is expanded from...
configure.in:76: the top level
autom4te: /usr/bin/m4 failed with exit status: 1
make[1]: *** [cvs] Error 1
make: *** [all] Error 2
sh: line 1: ./configure: No such file or directory

I am aware that the problem can be caused by incompatible versions of
autoconf and automake. But, I currently have autoconf-2.53-8, and
automake-1.6.3-1. I checked some sources on the web, the combination of
autoconfig-2.53/automake-1.6.3 should be ok with kdevelop-2.1.3. But, I
am not sure what is a good combination for kdevelop-2.1.4 on redhat.
Can someone please help?? I have been trying for the whole day, and no
success. Thanks!
