creating and compiling qt applications problems

Hi,

this error results from a wrong version of automake or autoconf. look at 
http://developer.kde.org/build/compile_kde3_1.html for exact instructions.
automake 1.5 and autoconf 2.5 are okay, but automake 1.7 is not, iirc...
