kdevelop 2.1.3 : problem with accents

Hi,

I'm using the Kdevelop version given with the Mandrake 9.0 : KDevelop 
2.1.3 with KDE 3.0.3
My problem is that I'm french, and when I want to write a caracter with 
an accent, nothing appears (no caracter is writen).
To explain to the people that arn't familliar with french, on the AZERTY 
keyboards, there are caracters like : é, è, à, ù, ê, ï, ....

Is there a configuration parameter that I haven't seen ? Is this bug 
fixed in Gideon ?
