Use kdevelop 2.1 for kde3 development?

Dear list,

have kde3 installed on a suse 7.3, with kdevelop2.1 compiled
for kde3. When i create a new project, the wizard shows only
options for creation of kde2 applications.

Is it also possible to create kde3 applications with kdevelop2.1?
Which configuration do I have to do to achieve this? Or are 
versions allways parallel: kdevelop2.x <=> kde2.x and do I
have to wait for kdevelop3.0 for kde3 development support?
