kdevelop crash on open project

ok - now I've downloaded kdevelop 2.1beta for kde3 and it works -
no more crash on project loading...
the remaining question is:
why do I get gideon when I specify kdevelop in my cvsup config file ?
is there a way to get the 2_2_BRANCH via cvsup ?
