QT documentation bug and htdig error on kdevelop

On gentoo linux (www.gentoo.org), running KDE 2.2.2 and kdevelop 2.0.2 there
are two oddities:

1. Gentoo has the qt doc in /usr/qt/2/doc , not /var/doc/qt-docs.
kdevelop setup properly asks for the QT doc directory, and accepts it.
however, when one goes to create the KDELIBS documentation, it comes back
with an invalid QT doc directory error (even though the window before it said
it found it ok). A symlink /var/docs/qt-docs -> /usr/qt/2/doc fixes the
problem.

2. htdig.conf not found. When one goes to index the documentation, it gives
a htdig.conf file not found. The htdig.conf file is in /etc/htdig.conf.
