(OT): Qt and threads

I've compiled the latest Qt dist using the -no-thread configure option, 
but libpthreads still seem to get linked to every Qt app that I compile 
(including all the Qt examples). Why is this?

The reason I ask is that I wanted to try out Valgrind on my app, which
doesn't handle threads. I noticed it has been used debugging KDE3 so, I
suppose you KDE guys got it right somehow...

Anyone?
