Where do I find zlib

Now I've got kdevelop working by running kdevelop directly from
.kdevelop/kdevelop. It looks very nice. I'm impressed :-)

But...

The make install did not put kdevelop in the path and is not recognized by
KDE. I had to go directly into where I build kdevelop to start it. I'm afraid
there is a minor bug here! (I got the snapshot at may 23). Can I do anything
to help?
