Hi Eric,

the problem is as far as I concern the problem with your french gmake
output. Probably the LANG variable isn't used by Mandrake, so you may
want to try the variable LANGUAGE as well. The kdevelop sources I
looked at (a while ago) expect the string "Entering directory" and
"Leaving directory" from the gmake output. Unfortunately I'm not
familiar with the Mandrake distribution so I don't know exactly how
to change the language settings there. The KDE Language setting doesn't
affect the "normal" tools at all (at least not with RedHat). You may
also try the console command "env", which prints out all your environment
variables. Maybe that gives you some idea about what variable to clear.
