Syntax highlighting with KDevelop/new editor

This point up one of th eproblems the developers face.  Such an editor
would make me very unhappy.  A Visual Slick Editor or OS/2 EPM clone would
make me grin real big..  No matter who get his way the oher will be
dissatisfied.  What's a developer to do?
