Changing the default compiler

Hello

Does anyone know of a way of changing the default compiler used by KDevelop.
I have found entries for CC and CXX in the make file but these appear to be
automatically generated. I would like to change gcc to mpiCC (a script built
on to the front of gcc for compiling parallell programs). Does anyone know
how to do this??
