Got past that hurdle to another. ktip.h and kprinter.h don't seem to exist
on my system. Sorry, I don't mean to be so much trouble.

g++ -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I.. -I/usr/include/kde -I/usr/include/qt
-I/usr/X11R6/include  -I./kpp -Ikpp -I./kwrite -I./widgets/qextmdi/include
-I../kdevelop/ctags    -O2 -DNDEBUG -fno-exceptions -fno-check-new  -c
ckdevelop.cpp
ckdevelop.cpp:61: ktip.h: No such file or directory
ckdevelop.cpp:77: kprinter.h: No such file or directory
make[4]: *** [ckdevelop.o] Error 1
