Problems decompressing kdevelop archive files

The gobbets of snot hit the keys and miraculously produced :

Thanks for the help, but it seems to have been a problem with the files
themselves - I downloaded a copy from a mirror and all worked fine. This is
odd, because I downloaded multiple files from ftp.kdevelop.org multiple
times, and none of them worked, but the same file from a mirror was OK first
time.
<shrug> I have it installed now, anyway.
Hey, folks: Kdevelop is wonderful! Thank you!
(but could I get the editor on the left and class/file browser on the right?)
