multiple .exe in 1 project (was: Makefile.am types)

i have the same problem: multiple programs built from very similar
source trees. the only solution i could think of was putting shared
sources in a subdirectory, and symbolic links to that into the different
project dirs. But i expect kdevelop/cvs to get confused by that. 
Some future release of kdev should definitely have support for that.
