Bug Report - Generate Project crashes OS

Kdevelop 2.4 - Mandrake 8.0
1)  Choose  Project -> Generate Project
2)  Browse to directory containing source files
3)  Get warning: "Does not contain Makefile.am - are you sure this is the 
right directory?".  Answer yes (it is).
4)  KDevelop freezes.  After letting it go for a while (20 min?), OS is 
frozen and must be powered off.

P.S. This has probably been reported, but I can't check because bugs.kde.org 
appears to be down.
