New target type "kernel module" ?

Hello,

is it possible to add a new target type to KDevelop which allows to code device drivers (kernel modules, VFS modules).
As far as i know the only difference to C-Console application is that the target is a *.o file and the linker gets the option '-r'.

Is such a thing feasible ?

As i am not a KDevelop designer some directions to add this may enable me to extend KDevelop with this target type.
Best would be a patch-file ;-)
