configure error: system fails at linking small kde app

The fastest check would be the config.log and see
what it pukes on.
the slow way is to check paths, qtdir, kdedir, X and
see what they are pointing at.

I WAS running RH-5.2, thought I might update to RH-6.2
use gnome, compile and install kde-2 from cvsup. BUT QT
doesn't like the ecgs-2.91.66 compiler.
Playing with kde-2 corrupted my kde-112 system, linux
is NOT for the faint-of heart. :-)))
