Importing a dialog

Thinking about dialogs:

Is there a way to import a dialog created by the dialog editor to a new
project? You can import the source files and the dialog editor's
database. However if the database is altered the first time the editor
wants to create the source again from scratch. No good idea for an
already fully flavoured dialog. 
Is there a way to tell the editor to use imported source files?
