pop3 kioslave

I really try hard to make the kioslaves run. I want to set up a simple pop3 mail application. It seems the pop3 kioslave has not been built with my self compiled kde 2.0.1.
There is no pop3.h anywhere. Can please someone tell me where to start. All the examples tell about http connections.
