using files in different directories

Hi!

First question! (really beginner...patient, please)

As far as I understood (chaper 8 of User Manual), when I want to use a file
(.h or .cpp) that is in another dir, KDevelop copies the file to the dir of
the project. I really would not like it to happen, I mean, instead of a
copied, I would like the file to be referenced. Is it possible?
