ANNOUNCE: New KDevelop Design

Hi KDevelopers,

    I have started (together with some other programmers) to work on a new
design for KDevelop. This will include KOM/OP architecture, modularization,
plugin support, public standards and API(s). So if any of you has ideas, or
wants some features to be included in the new design, just drop me a mail.
Any contributions are wellcome.
    Our plan is to branch from the original KDevelop at some point in time,
develop our branch in parallel with the original, keeping our branch
synchronized with the latest changes in the HEAD branch, and just before the
first release (January 2000) commit our work to the original KDevelop.
Almost all the development will be made in bazaar style.

BTW, I tried to contact Snady Meier a week ago and I got no answer from him
(yet). I didn't see any postings on the mailing list from him, either. Does
anybody know why ?
