There is no conio.h on a Linux System, instead you have to use the
ncurses.h (man ncurses; /usr/doc/(packages/)ncurses/). 
At the moment I try to build some classes arround ncurses, you can
download the project at:

 http://www.tnt-computer.de/linux/tntcurses.tgz

But remember, it's in a very unfinished state at the moment (and don't
believe everything the documentation tells...)!
(if somebody likes to help me finishing it, he's invited to do so ;-)
