DLL

is there a how to anywhere on the lowdown on shared lib's?  Maybe a tutorial
anythign at all would be helpfull.

There is no DLL under Unix, only under Windows...I guess you mean shared
libraries. The handbooks have at least a template for a Makefile.am and
a few guidelines towards building shared libraries. You should check
this as creating shared libraries will not be a feature until monday...
