Hmmm...I tend to disagree. I think when you have lots of different people
working together in a few different projects you get a better final result.
This is because not everyone works the same way. KDevelop is great if:
1. You like using IDE's.
2. You don't mind learning a new tool.
3. You want to integrate a visual element to your coding.
Not everyone is happy with these (general) requirements, and not everyone works
in the same way.
At least with competition you get different soloutions to the same problem, and
you get people working that extra bit more to sustain their product in the
marketplace - be it free software or not.
