Sure,

a)  yes, i gave up on distro-supplied KDevelop long ago, so I always
download appimage and keep the previous one "just in case".  here's
the sha1 of both images, to verify the exact version on each.

b) I use Kubuntu 20.04 with X11   a 4K 26" monitor and 4K 13" laptop
screen side by side, so it's great how Qt applications autoresize when
I drag from a screen to the other.  I've set a scale factor of 2 for
the laptop screen and 1.5 for the monitor, via the
$QT_SCREEN_SCALE_FACTORS =  "eDP-1=2;DP-1=1.5;DP-2=1.5"  variable.

c) i've attached screenshots, there you can see the widgets, cursor,
and UI fontsize differences.  Note that the editor text isn't
affected, just the rest of the UI
