  Yes, I believe that's not going to work. Clang doesn't keep the preamble files open, but expects them to stay.

  Please try it out, I've already pushed a change for this: D18551 <https://phabricator.kde.org/D18551>. I've tested it briefly, and didn't notice any issues. It generated preambles only when I started editing files.
