  With that kind of attitude you may find that users will opt out of other things, like using a product that is above implementing workarounds for the sake of usability.
  
  I'd also appreciate if people stop misreading me, putting words in my mouth and then try to insult me. I never claimed that disabling dirwatching solves the problem.
  
  One last thing for the record: my workaround DOES NOT affect external change detection in open files. That's a crucial feature I wouldn't want to do without either. Detecting changes in the project tree is nothing more than icing on the cake, no matter how sensible and what year it is (and the fact VS does it too).
