Heya Nick,

There are several ways to build KDevelop on macOS, unfortunately none of them
are what we recommend the 'default' way.

You can get KDevelop via
- Homebrew (probably the easiest at this point)
- MacPorts (never tested)
- Craft (a bit tricky to set up, I can guide you [1])
  - Very useful for packaging the application at the end
(if you want to help with that, using Craft is recommended)

tl;dr: I'd totally like to get this out on macOS at some point, but the
package (.dmg) we generate at the moment is still broken in unknown ways and I
haven't had the time/motivation to look into this again.

For your interest, here's the CI system building the .dmg package:
(using Craft to build the dependencies & generate the package)

Get help: (join #kdevelop on Freenode)

Looking forward getting some help on macOS!
