Heya Nick,
There are several ways to build KDevelop on macOS, unfortunately none of them
are what we recommend the 'default' way.
You can get KDevelop via
- Homebrew (probably the easiest at this point)
- https://github.com/haraldF/homebrew-kf5
- MacPorts (never tested)
- Craft (a bit tricky to set up, I can guide you [1])
- Very useful for packaging the application at the end
(if you want to help with that, using Craft is recommended)
tl;dr: I'd totally like to get this out on macOS at some point, but the
package (.dmg) we generate at the moment is still broken in unknown ways and I
haven't had the time/motivation to look into this again.
