  I really don't see myself looking forward to maintain this code/hack(?) in kdevplatform. Especially b/c it's just for one particular view.
  
  Please fix it upstream in the item view classes if needed, but please let's not inject unnecessary #ifdef'fed code for macOS, code checking for widget styles or code altering the platform default behavior of a widget.
  
  Still a -1 from me, I'd tend to think the other KDevelop core devs think alike (speak up if not).
