Why does the git/branches/compare-to-branch patchreview not have an updater?

Hi,

I notice that there is no updater configured for the patch review toolview obtained via git/branches/"Compare to Branch" ? If there is no underlying technical reason why this would be impossible, where would I introduce one (with the multiple inheritance and abstract classes involved I haven't yet managed to figure that out)?
