API Documentation?

I'd like to get involved with KDevelop Development. Once I cloned the
git repository I found a link to documentation in README for the build
directory, but the link
(http://api.kde.org/extragear-api/sdk-apidocs/kdevplatform/html/) is broken.

I do see a documentation/ folder but from what I can tell it's not built
along with the rest of the source folder. (I did a `find . -iname *.html`).

Is there a non-broken link for API documentation?

Do I need to build the documentation with doxygen?
