Thanks for your mail.

I took the liberty of forwarding your mail to the kdevelop mailing list. I
read it regularly, and there is a bunch of really clever people who also
do. So any problem you might have regarding kdevelop or any of the plugins,
is best helped here. Please submit any reply to this mail to kdevelop-devel
(at) kdevelop.org also.

Now for your problem:

First of all: The X-KDevelop-Version (found in the file
kdevperforce.desktop ) number needs to match the required one for the
version you are running. If I recall correctly the version number required
for KDevelop 4.3.1 is 13.

Version number for the latest version of perforce plugin in the repo is 14
(again if I recall correctly). So you might need to change the 14 to 13 in
kdevperforce.desktop.

Second: Please make sure that the plugin is in one of the paths that KDE
where KDevelop is looking for it (i.e. does the path occur in KDEDIRS)
