Kdevelop for console application development - a few questions

I would implement it if I could, but I'm not into kdevelop development yet. 
However I can make some mockups if that helps.

Well, you could adjust the code to use only sh-features and avoid bahs-stuff. 
If you ensure to use /bin/sh even bash should complain about non-sh compatible 
stuff.


Another thing you should consider IMHO before endorcing bash is that its not 
necessarily installed. I'd say csh and zsh are at least as popular as bash and 
the former is rather incompatible to bash.
