It is the same,if you use the same version.
Of course if you want to develop for KDE then you should consider to create
a KDE development enviroment.
If you create a KDE development enviroment then you will be able to use in
parallel two different versions of kdevelop,
One of them could be the master one,in order to have the latest development
features and to give some
feedback.
