UI Flicker after UI rework

There definitely is flickering but afair it was there before. Maybe it's a bit 
worse, I can't tell. With QtCurve it's definitely bearable.

Anyhow we can investigate and drop a few setUpdatesEnabled(false) here and 
there to improve the situation.
